About Karpathos island, Greece |
Karpathos is a big island of the Dodecanese complex, a pretty interesting tourist destination. The island is full of contrasts: some parts are overgrown, others are rocky and arid; the southern part has tourist facilities and is fairly well organized, while the north is more traditional with nice hospitable villages keeping intact the traditional way of living. The residents are occupied in agriculture, stock-breeding and tourism, an activity developing during the last years. |
