The favorite beaches of the windsurfers are situated at the southern end of the village, at a distance of some 13-15 kilometers southern to Pigadia. You will drive on the way to the airport and follow the deviations. All of them are sandy with crystal clear clean sea.

The beach of Vata (13,5 kilometers southern to the capital of the island) is the most popular for windsurfers, thanks to the strong currents and the good organization it offers for the sport. The two successive beaches of Valia and “tou Nicolaki i Punta”, 15 kilometers southern to Pigadia, also attract numerous surfers; the huge beach of Makrys Gialos with nice sand and shallow sea is also popular for the sport.
