There are several small beaches in the area, where possibly only a tavern exists and where you may arrive following a difficult dirt track or a foot path. Of course, only few people reach these beaches and, if you feel like, you may enjoy naturism, without any trouble. You will certainly hear their names: Wave Beach, Sunset Beach, Cavo Paradiso Beach, Virgin beach, or something similar.
Above the rocky coast you will see the small church of Aghios Ioannis Theologos, whose name day is celebrated on the 29th of August, with a local feast. If you are around in late August, don’t miss it.
Health services are available at the local Medical Center of the nearby village of Kefalos (7 kilometers northeastern to the beach), where you will also find a Police Station.
Access to the beach is possible by rented or private car and motorbikes, via the village of Kefalos (40 kilometers far from the town of Kos). From the village you drive southwards for some 2 kilometers and then turn to the right towards the western coast; from there you follow the signs (to Aghios Ioannis Theologos) and arrive to the beach via a dirt track. |
