Accommodation, food and drink and amusement facilities are available both at the beach and in the village of Kalathos. A cantina, some taverns and a supermarket are available at the beach for a coffee, a meal or other supplies.
The beach has nice fine sand and fine pebbles in parts and it is partly organized. Some parts offer facilities for swimming, sunbathing (sun beds and umbrellas) and sea sport facilities, whereas there are more “natural” parts, with no such facilities. What to choose is up to you! Any way, as the fans of the beach state, there is always a free place for the newcomer. Due to the length of the beach, even during the peak period of August, when elsewhere on the island people are “packed”, both at the beach and in the sea, at Kalathos the swimmer has always enough space and comfort.
Health services and other amenities are available at the nearby resort of Lindos.
Access from Lindos is easy by public buses, by taxi and, of course, by rented or private car and motorbikes. |
