Acharavi beach is very safe as it is far enough from the public road and the sea is shallow with crystal clear water and a seabed without urchins; all this make it ideal for families with small children. However, you are advised to be careful enough in the afternoon, when the sea gets eventually wavy and may prove somehow dangerous for small children.
There is also a water park at the beach of Acharavi. The fans of diving will also find a small diving center, suitable both for experts and beginners in the sport.
Access from the capital (Corfu, 37 kilometers far away) is possible by public buses (the green ones) running frequently, as well as by rented or private cars and motorbikes. Local taxis are also available in the village. The beach is found off the public road; you will reach it via the short deviation. |
