| You will enjoy swimming at the sandy, well organised beach of the resort and at the other beaches of the area. The whole area is ideal for short excursions: you may visit the nearby village of Potamos, at a distance of some 2 kilometers to the South, with very interesting churches. If you are interested in modern history of Greece, don’t miss to go to the village of Evropouli, where you may visit the Museum of Ioannis Capodistrias (the first governor of Greece, after it had been declared and independent state). The Museum, established in 1981, thanks to the donation of the Capodistrias family, has collected various personal items of the governor, family souvenirs and furniture of various periods. The Museum also houses a Center of Capodistrian Studies. Once at Evropouli you may also visit the church of Panaghia Coucouritsa. |
