Argirades, Corfu Island |
| Argirades is a big inland village on the way to Lefkimi; it is situated at a distance of 32 kilometers far from the town of Corfu at the Southeast, within an area of breathtaking beauty with luxurious green. It counts some 1000 permanent residents. |

| Several hotels of all categories are found in the area around and some rooms to let are available for accommodation within the village. You will enjoy swimming at the beautiful beaches southeastern to the village: Aghios Georgios, Marathias, Boukari and Petriti. All of them are found at a distance of 3-6 kilometers far from Argyrades; Petriti has a small port for mooring of small boats. If the weather does not allow swimming at the eastern part, you have the alternative of the beaches of Aghios Georgios of Argirades (5 kilometers to the West) and of Issos (5 kilometers to the Northwest). |

| If you are around in June, don’t miss the local feast (“panighyri”) in honor of the Holy Trinity. Another local feast (“panighyri”) takes place at the village of Petriti in honor of Vlaherna on the 2nd of July. A local Medical Center and a Police Station are available in the village for health problems and other cases of emergency. Access from the capital (Corfu, 20 kilometers far away) is easy by rented or private cars and motorbikes. |
