Arillas, Corfu |
| Arillas is a small coastal tourist resort, situated at a distance of 38 kilometers northwestern to the town of Corfu. It counts only 100 permanent residents. It is worth visiting the Holy Monastery of Ypsili Theotocos (Holy Virgin), built in the early 18th century; the Monastery is close to the village of Magoulades. Or you may rent a boat and sail to the small islets of Kravi and Varkoules, some 1 to 1,5 nautical miles far from the coast of Arillas. |

| Accommodation is possible in hotels and rooms to let both in the settlement and in the nearby villages. You will enjoy swimming at the long sandy beach of the settlement and at the nearby beaches of Aghios Georgios of Armenades and of Aghios Stefanos of Avlotes.
If you are in the area on July, don’t miss the local feast (“panighyri”), in honor of the prophet Elijah, on the 20th of July. In case of health problems, there is a local Medical Center at Magoulades (3 kilometers at the Northeast), where you will also find a police station. Access from the capital (Corfu, 38 kilometers far away) is possible by public buses (the green ones) running frequently, as well as by rented or private cars and motorbikes. |
