Swimming is possible at the long beautiful beach in front of the settlement, with sand and small pebbles and shallow sea. The beach has been awarded a blue flag.

You have many choices for food in the sea front taverns, restaurants and snack bars, where you may taste excellent fresh fish and a variety of local dishes, as well as of Greek and European taste.
If you are around during the Easter period, don’t miss the local feast (“panighyri”) in honor of Zoodochos Pighi (“the Spring of Life”), which takes place on Friday following Easter.
In case of health problems, you should address to the health services of the town of Corfu (13 kilometers far away). Access from the capital (Corfu, 13 kilometers far away) is possible by public buses (the blue ones) with regular service, by taxi and by rented or private cars and motorbikes. Some facilities for mooring of yachts are available in the small marine in front of the village. |
