Ipsos village, Corfu |
| Ipsos is big village and a well-known cosmopolitan tourist resort, in front of al long sandy and partly pebbly beach. It is situated at a distance of 15,5 kilometers far from the town of Corfu at the Northwest and it counts some 825 permanent residents. |

| Accommodation is available within the settlement, at the nearby village of Karoussades and in the broader area. You will find abundant food of various tastes, from fresh fish, seafood and local dishes to International and European cooking, both in the taverns of the settlement and at the sea front taverns of the area around. You may enjoy swimming, sunbathing and sea sports at the long, well-organised beach of the resort. Several places are worth seeing in the area. In the village of Kato Korakiana, you may see the church of Aghios Nicolaos, built in the 11th century; the church had wonderful wall paintings of the 17th century, which now have been removed from the church, they have been restored and now are part of the Byzantine Collection of Corfu, housed in the Old Castle. Close to the village of Kato Korakiana, within a park with luxurious green, you will see the Mimbeli mansion, built by the Italian aristocrat Mimbeli in early 20th century. The building has used for various activities ever since. Close to the mansion you may visit the Branch of the National Gallery, housing several temporary exhibitions of visual arts, organized by the National Gallery. |

| A series of cultural activities, the “Phaeacia” are organised by the Municipality in summer. In case of health problems a local Medical Center is available in village. There is also a Police Station. Access from the capital (Corfu, 15,5 kilometers) is possible by taxi and by rented or private car and motorbikes. The small port of the settlement offers facilities of mooring and petrol and water supply to small boats and yachts. Small boats for rent are also available, if you feel like sailing around. |
