The Agios Stefanos village is situated north-west of Corfu town and it is built amphitheatrically on the hill of the cape bearing the same name, right opposite the Diapontia Islands (Othonoi, Ereikousa and Mathraki). It is the place closest to the Greek borders with Italy and its coasts are washed by the Adriatic Sea. Small boats leave every day with destination to the Islands and to nearby areas from the small port, where one usually finds the fishing boats of the villagers.

The Agios Stefanos large beach takes pride in its golden sand and turquoise shallows waters. It is considered to be very safe and is highly recommended to families and children. Every year the beach is awarded with the European Union Blue Flag for the Environment Protection, thanks to its clearness and cleanness. The beach is very well equipped there is sun beds, WC, showers, a playground and the swimmers can enjoy various sea activities. Many beach bars, taverns, restaurants, supermarkets and a lot of souvenir shops are located along the beach and in the Agios Stefanos village.

TO CORFU From Greece: "Olympic Airways" and "Aegean Airlines" operate daily flights from Athens and Thessalonica to Corfu. The flight is approximately 40 minutes. Corfu may also be reached by ferryboat from the ports of Patras and Igoumenista. FROM ABROAD: You can fly to Corfu International airport from all over Europe, especially during summer time. Corfu may also be reached by ferryboat from the ports of Bari, Ancona and Venice in Italy.

TO AGIOS STEFANOS From the airport Distance: approx. 40 km Duration: 1 hour You leave the airport turning to the right Center/Port and you drive until you see the sea. Then you turn to the left and follow the seaside road, pass by Spianada square and keep driving along the seaside road (along the old port) until you see the sign towards Paleokastritsa. There you turn right and keep driving for about 8 km.

TO AGIOS STEFANOS From the port Distance: approx. 35 km Duration: 45 min If you arrive by ferry from Igoumenitsa, you leave the port turning right and drive towards Paleokastritsa.
