The beach near the settlement, awarded a blue flag, is well enough organised and not very crowded. Apart from the umbrellas and sunbeds, you will also have several flat, whitewashed rocks, where you may take your sunbath. The sea is shallow and safe, ideal for families with small children.
The unique drawback of this excellent scenic beach is that access is possible via a short dirt track departing from the village. You may also choose the beaches Almyros, Avlaki and Astrakeri, with better access.
Access from the capital (Corfu, 39 kilometers) is possible by rented or private car and motorbikes. You will park your car and continue on foot, following the short dirt track leading to the beach. |
