In front of the beach of Dafni it is found the small islet Peluso. Only expert swimmers can visit it, swimming of course, in summer, as navigation and staying overnight on the island is not allowed for reasons of protection of the sea turtles. From the beach of Dafni, it will take some two hours of swimming; so don’t forget to have some provisions with you and a canoe, where you may relax for a while. And, of course, it is better to have some company too.
For health problems you may address to the Health Services of the town of Zakynthos (some 20 kilometers at the Northeast).
Access from the town of Zakynthos is easy enough by rented or private car and motorbikes. You should be careful for the 2-3 last kilometers, which you will drive on a dirt track. |
