Pachia Ammos beach, Zakynthos Island |

The beach of Pahia Ammos (“thick sand” in Greek) is found some 4-5 kilometers western to the inland village of Gerakari and less than 13 kilometers northern to the town of Zakynthos. This well organised beach is in fact part of the long beach of the eastern part of the island. Many hotels of all categories, studios and rooms to let both at the sea front and in the area around are available for accommodation. |

Food and drink are abundant and good in the taverns of the settlements around and at the beach. All of them offer a good variety of local and international dishes. The beach is well organised and various facilities for swimming, sunbathing and sea sports are available. In case of health problems you may address to the Health Services of the town of Zakynthos (some 13 kilometers at the South. Access from the town of Zakynthos is possible by taxi, rented or private car and motorbikes. |
