It is worth visiting the Nautical Museum at Tsilivi; there is a good collection of aquarelles presenting various types of ships and scenes of the marine life since antiquity. There are also displayed ship models, old compasses and other ship equipment, naval suits and a good collection of relative photos.
There are many taverns in the area, where you will enjoy a variety of local or international dishes, above all fresh fish and seafood.
Swimming is possible at the well organised beaches of Tsilivi, Plano and Buca, most of them well organised with swimming, sunbathing and sea sport facilities; you may also choose from several other beaches up to Alicanas, at a distance of 8 kilometers northern to the settlement.
For health problems, you may address to the health services of the nearby capital Zakynthos, 7,5 kilometers far away at the Southeast.
Access from the town of Zakynthos (7,5 kilometers far away) is easy by taxi and by rented or private car and motorbikes. For those arriving by private or rented yacht, the small port of the settlement is available for mooring. |
