Porto Koukla beach, Zakynthos Island |

The nice small beach of Porto Koukla, with fine pebbles is situated a few kilometers southwestern to the cosmopolitan tourist resort of Laganas, at a distance of some 13 kilometers southwestern to the town of Zakynthos. A lot of hotels of all categories, studios and rooms to let are available in the broader area. All of them are open from the Easter period (April or May), offering various facilities to their guests, depending on the category and the kind of lodging. For the fans of a more casual staying, a very well organised camping with full facilities is available at the nearby resort of Laganas. |

Food is good in the taverns of the beach, some of them situated at the sea front and, apart from delicious dishes; they also offer an excellent environment. If you choose this beach for swimming it is because it is less crowded and noisy than the neighboring ones and you wish to enjoy a more relaxing swimming within a nice and peaceful environment with crystal clear sea, warm enough and various facilities for swimming and sunbathing. In case of health problems, a local Medical Center is available at the nearby village of Pantocratoras (some 4 kilometers at the Northwest), where you will also find a Police Station. Access from the town of Zakynthos is possible by tourist buses, by taxi and by rented or private cars and motorbikes. |
