Agios Ioannis Eleimonas (St. John the Charitable) is a tiny, only 250 meters long, pebbly beach with nice pebbles and very clean sea of medium depth, situated at a distance of some 60 kilometers southwestern to the town of Samos. As it is found within a small cove at the southwestern coast of the island, it is well protected from the winds. It is a totally secluded beach, ideal for those preferring to swim and sunbathe almost alone. Once at this beach you may visit the Holy Monastery of Aghios Ioannis Eleimonas (St. John the Charitable), which is very close to the beach and where you will arrive via a small footpath.

Accommodation facilities are not available at al, not only at the beach but also in the broader area; the nearest place for lodging is the area of Marathokambos. Also, there are no facilities for eating and drinks, so don’t forget to bring along at least some water.

The beach is not organized at all and it offers you only the chance of a nice solitary swimming far from the town of Samos. It also offers some even more secluded and quiet small corners, which you will find if you climb the rocks of the beach; as these parts do receive only few people, they are ideal for nudism.

In case of health problems, you should go to Marathokambos, some 20 kilometers to the Northeast, where you will find a local Medical Center and a pharmacy.
