At a distance of 19 kilometers far from Samos, on the way to Karlovasi, you will find the junction leading to the traditional village of Manolates, where you will arrive after you have driven for 6 kilometers on an uphill road with a lot of sharp bends. The village has been named after the family name of its first settlers. On the way to the village, quite close to it, are situated the excellent sites of Aidonia and Platanakia. The village is found within a fascinating environment, with excellent view to the northern coast of Samos and the coast of Asia Minor across.
