Neohorio (meaning “the new village” in Greek) or Nihori, or Nihoraki as the locals call it, is situated northern to Skouraeika and eastern to Koumaeika. The village is found within a precipitous and hardly accessible area. It is one of the tiniest villages of the island and in the past it was called Zouraeika, after the surname Zouras.

In case of health problems you should address to the pharmacy and the local Medical Center of Pyrgos, some 7 kilometers northeastern to the village.
