The 3000 long beach of Potokaki and Doryssa is situated in front of the homonymous well known tourist resort, at a distance of some 14 kilometers southwestern to the town of Samos and 3-4 kilometers western to Pythagorio. It is a beach with sand and pebbles and the sea is not very deep; as it is found within the bay of Pythagorio, at the southeastern coast of the island, it is well protected from the winds.

There are several alternatives for accommodation in the resort and in the broader area; there are also many seafront taverns and coffee bars by the sea where you will enjoy your drink or full meal, before or after swimming.

Potokaki is a very well organized beach often awarded with a blue flag. The swimmers will enjoy a lot of facilities for swimming, sunbathing and sea sports. As the beach is pretty long, those wishing more calmness and less people around, will certainly find parts of the beach ideal for them.

For any health problem you should address to the local Medical Center or the pharmacy of Pythagorio, some 3-4 kilometers eastern to the beach.
