Pythagorion beach, Samos Island |

The tiny (only 100 meters long) pebbly beach of Pythagorio is situated at the southwestern coast of the island, in front of the town of Pythagorio and beside its port; it is found at a distance of some 11 kilometers southwestern to the capital of the island. The sea is not very deep and as the beach is located within the bay of Pythagorio, it is well protected from the winds. Accommodation is available both close to the beach and in the area around. There are also several taverns and coffee bars where you will enjoy your meals, drinks and refreshments by the sea. |

The beach is pretty well organized and offers several facilities to swimmers. It is ideal for a nice swim in short distance from the town of Samos and for those staying at Pythagorio. And, if you feel like exploring the area around Pythagorio, you may find several more secluded and quiet beaches in short distance. In case of health problems, a local Medical Center and a pharmacy are available at Pythagorio. Access from the town of Samos is very easy by public buses, by taxi and by private means (car and motorbikes). Of course, if you stay at Pythagorio you may get to the beach also on foot. |
