Southeastern to Mytilinii, at an altitude of 120 meters it is situated the Monastery of Agia Triada (“Holy Trinity”). The monastery was constructed at a place near Mytilinioi, where previously existed the ruins of an old church; the founder was the priest-monk Neofytos who had left the Holy Monastery of Timios Prodromos (St. John the Baptist), during the Greek National Revolution of 1821.
Access to the monastery is easy from the capital town of Samos by taxi, as well as by rented or private car and motorbikes. |
