Northeastern to the town of Samos, upon the mountain Rambaedoni, at an altitude of 300 meters, it is situated the monastery of Zoodochos Pege (Virgin Mary, the Spring of Life). The monastery was constructed in 1756 by the priest-monk Dorotheos. The church has an icon screen of original style and of high artistic value, a few frescoes and a considerable collection of religious objects.

The view from the monastery is excellent: you may see the channel of Mykali and the inland of Asia Minor in the distance.
