Svala beach, Samos Island |
The beach of Svala is a long (up to 1,5 kilometers) pebbly beach, with big pebbles, situated at the northern coast of the island, some 19 kilometers northwestern to the town of Samos, a bit off the northern circular road connecting the town of Samos with Karlovasi and Aghios Constantinos. The sea is deep and very clean but the beach is totally unprotected from the northern winds, which raise huge waves when blowing. |

Accommodation facilities are available close to the beach and in the area around, and a cantina at the beach offers snacks, coffee and refreshments. The beach is sufficiently organized, offering facilities for swimming and sunbathing (umbrellas and sun beds). In case of any problem, you should return to the town of Samos, at a distance of 19 kilometers southeastern to the beach. Access from the town of Samos is easy by private means (car and motorbikes). |
