Description

Situated directly on the sea, on rocky seashore, in the small fishing village of Sisi with its picturesque harbor, Hotel Porto Sisi is an architectural jewel. Being one the first hotels built in Sisi, it is an “A” class apartment complex, comprised of three buildings with a total of fifteen apartments having rooms on ground and on first floor.



The unique and authentic architecture combines the old and the new of the Cretan style. Although having the same amount of (40sq.m) area, each apartment has its own individual design.



The colorfully potted plants along paths and stairs, small open courtyards, intimate atriums, graceful transitions from indoor and outdoor living are the exquisite accents that lend to Hotel Porto Sisi its typical and charming Cretan atmosphere. Hotel Porto Sisi is 45km/approx. ½ h. from Iraklion Airport. About 400meters away you will find fine sandy beaches for swimming.

SERVICES:

You can book all your excursions with us, for example, to museums, to archaeological sites, to fantastic gorges, and to nice hiking areas. Buses will pick you up from Hotel Porto Sisi and guides of your own language will accompany you during your entire excursion. 



We also offer assistance in car, motorbike and bicycle rental. 



There is regular public bus service to the eastern and western part of Crete. 



Other services include luggage hold, fax service, taxi service on request, currency exchange, cashing of traveler checks and maid service. A doctor is also on call.



ACCOMMODATION:



Standard apartments: 

Each apartment (40sq.m or 430sq.feet) is comprised of one twin or double bedroom, with individually controlled air-conditioning, a living/dining area with two sofa beds with sleeping facilities for two extra persons, a kitchenette with cooking facilities, coffee maker, toaster and a refrigerator, bathroom with shower, alarm clock, in-room safe deposit box, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, satellite T.V., direct-dial telephone, and either a sea view balcony or veranda. For individual privacy doors separate the bedroom from the sleeping quarters in the living room. There is convenient access to the bathroom for each party. The apartments can accommodate 2-5 persons.



Seafront apartments: 

In addition to being equipped identically as the standard apartments these apartments offer a spectacular and direct view of the sea! There is also a choice of a two-level apartment with two sea-view verandas. The individually controlled air-conditioning and safe deposit boxes of these apartments are free of charge.

Dining

Dining: In the harbor village of Sisi, just 50 meters from Hotel Porto Sisi, there are many seaside taverns. Other typical Cretan taverns are situated in the nearby hills and on the seaside where you can enjoy the authentic and famous Cretan cuisine!

 Our hotel offers a unique seaside swimming pool filled with seawater. Deck lounges and sun umbrellas are also available and free of charge.

In both directions, towards Malia in the west, where you can arrive on foot at the archeological site of the Palace of Malia, or towards Milatos, the next fishing village, in the east, Sisi is the ideal starting point for one of the most romantic seaside promenades in northern Crete! Along the serpentine coastline sandy beach coves alternate with the beautifully wild and rocky seashore. You can walk jog or bike for many kilometers always accompanied by a magnificent view of the sea.



About 400 meters away from our hotel you can find fine sandy beaches for swimming. Children’s playgrounds, boating, biking, hiking trails, a wide choice of water sports like scuba diving, water skiing etc., tennis courts, sightseeing tours, jogging track and fishing are some of the recreational accommodations we can offer you in Sisi.

If we know your travel plans we can make transfer arrangements. 



If you come by taxi from the airport to our hotel, the cost will be approximately 45 Euro. If you prefer to rent a car we can make rental arrangements with interesting prices and you will be able to pick up the car from the airport.



Direction:



Upon leaving Iraklion Airport you travel east towards Agios Nikolaos. After 40 km you should look for the sign directing you to Sisi, which is the next town after Malia on your left hand side. Following the signs directing you to Sisi and after driving 4km through the lovely local olive groves you will reach Sisi, a charming fishing village directly on the sea.
