Draft Cafe-Grill & Beer House opened its doors on July of 2004, in the center of Heraklion, and on Arkoleontos 9 Street, right next to Theotokopoulos Park.
Draft was created so it can offer a modern place where someone can enjoy his coffee early in the morning and a contemporary concept of a brewery with dozens of different beers from all over the world for everyone's taste and flavor.
Draft also offers all day long a great number of cold platters including variety of cheese,ham,sausages,steaks,appetizers,salads and sweets.
During the evening, you can either enjoy your cold beer,drink or even a a glass of wine from our exceptional selection, while listening to our selected foreign music.
In the narrow streets of the historical center of Heraklion you can find "Peri Orexeos" restaurant. The name of the restaurant means "About Taste". It's only 500 meters away from the hotel and next to the archeological museum. The building is a very old Venetian house renovated and re decorated in order to meet our guests needs.
The restaurant has two floors and there is a spacious patio and balcony decorated in a way that resembles an old Greek house.
The cuisine of "Peri Orexeos" is based on Cretan and Greek recipes. You should try the "Peri Orexeos" salad and the "Peri Orexeos" main course. There are nice local wines in the restaurant while you enjoy your lunch or dinner listening to Greek music.
After your meal plenty of Raki (Cretan traditional drink) and sweets are offered to our guests.

Beaches:
West of the city and less than 5 km away towards Ammudara, there are beaches where you can swim. The beautiful beaches, though, are located east of the city and start from Kartero (8 km) and end up at Malia (34 km). You can also find many taverns there.
Sports:
Wind surfing. You can wind surf at the beaches mentioned above if you have your own wind surf. If you would like to rent one, you'll have to go a little further (Agia Pelagia or Hersoniso). The large hotels of the area usually have the necessary equipment required for water sports.

Night Life:
In Iraklio there are a lot of taverns with cretan music. Iraklio, has practically everything one could ask. Buzukia, bars, pubs, discos, cinemas, it's all there.

You can walk to the Martinego bastion, the highest point of the castle. Here is also the grave of the famous Nikos Kazantzakis. In the old town centre we meet the Venizelos Square with the Venetian Morozini Fountain. The basilica of St. Mark, the Venetian Lotzia, beautiful fountains, old churches such as Agios Titos, the fortress, the Venetian shipyards and many more scattered monuments make our walk through the city unforgettable.
A visit to Heraklion's Archaeological Museum is a must. You can see one of the world's most important collections with objects from Knossos, Phaistos, Gortyna, Arhanes and other places of Crete. Nearby is the Historical Ethnographic Museum and ecclesiastical works of art, which is ten minutes walk away from the hotel.
