Description

Astir Beach is a 4 stars hotel, resting on the north coast of the wonderful island of Crete.



Situated in Gouves, only 15 Km east of Iraklion international airport, by an extremely clean sandy coast and sea, it is an ideal beach resort for unforgettable vacations.



The hotel offers 165 modern and comfortable rooms equipped with private bathroom with bath tub or shower, direct-dial phone, private air-conditioning, mini fridge, TV, hair dryer, safety deposit box and balcony or terrace, most of them with a marvellous view to the sea.



In the main building there is also a spacious and comfortable restaurant, an indoor bar, a lounge with satellite-TV, fireplace, pool and card tables and a conference room for about fifty persons. On the grounds of the hotel, in front of the beach, you can find a smartly constructed swimming pool together with a separate children’s paddling pool, as well as a pool bar, a snack bar and a mini market.



Sport enthusiasts will also find a court for volleyball and badminton, a mini golf, and a table-tennis table. For our young friends there is a big lawn area and a children playground. Facilities, hospitality, friendly atmosphere and excellent service make Astir Beach a perfect place for enjoyment and relaxation.

FACILITIES:

The hotel consists of one main building (three floors) and four annexes (two floors) with a total of 165 rooms. The main building comprises the reception area (reception desk 24 hours open) with two elevators and ramps, lounge with fireplace, satellite TV, pool table and card tables, the main restaurant, an indoor bar and a small conference room (50 pax). The grounds of the hotel boast a freshwater swimming pool with toddler’s section, sun-terrace and attractive lawn with sun-beds and umbrellas, a volleyball court, a mini golf area, a pool bar, a snack bar and a mini market.



ROOMS:

All rooms are smartly furnished with private bathroom (bath tab or shower), direct-dial telephone, private air-conditioning, mini fridge, TV with local and satellite programs, hair-dryer, safety box and balcony or terrace, most of them with sea or side-sea view. Electricity voltage is 220 Volt.



CONFERENCE FACILITIES:

A conference room for a maximum of 50 persons for small conferences, presentations or meetings is available.



MINI MARKET:

is open from 09:00 a.m. until 22:00 p.m. You can find everything from food, snacks, candies, drinks, tobacco and  personal care products to swimming suits, towels, matrices, souvenirs, international books, magazines and newspapers.



EXCHANGE:

Bank foreign currency and traveler checques may be cashed at the reception desk. American Express, Mastercard and Visa Credit Cards are also accepted.

Breakfast:

Served on buffet basis from 07:15 a.m. to 09:30 a.m. at the main restaurant.



Dinner:

Served from 19:00 p.m. to 21:30 p.m. In our restaurant, the rich and daily varying self-service buffet gives you the opportunity to choose from various cold and hot dishes.



Snack Bar:

is open from 10:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. Taste our Cretan traditional, Greek and international dishes or enjoy your drinks during the day. The Snack Bar is located next to the swimming pool and in front of the beach.



Pool Bar:

is open from 18:00 p.m. until 02:00 a.m. Next to the pool with a view to the sea, you can enjoy music and drinking. Our barman will serve all kinds of drinks. Try our Cretan snaps “raki “ and the traditional Greek aperitif ouzo.

 SWIMMING POOL:

An open air, fresh water swimming pool (with a separate section for children) in front of the beach is available for use from 08:00 a.m. to 19:00 p.m. On the swimming pool terrace, you can find sun beds und umbrellas (free of charge).



BEACH:

The coast in front of the hotel has a clean sandy beach with sun-beds and umbrellas.



SPORTS/ENTERTAINMENT:

Volleyball and badminton court, mini golf, darts, table tennis and pool table at the hotel and all water sports available at the beach next to the hotel. The hotel offers daytime and evening animation program (starting on May) with music and folklore shows.



CHILDREN:

Children’s animation program, toddler’s pool and playground.

Directions

The hotel is only 15 km away from Iraklio International Airport ‘Nikos Kazantzakis’ and 17 km away from Iraklio port (with daily connection to Athens port and regular connection to the Islands of Rhodes and Santorini). There is a local bus link with East, West and South Crete every 30 minutes, accessible by the bus stop on the main road, only 600 m away from the hotel.
