Directions

The village of Damouhari is situated on the Eastern side of Mount Pelion, 65km from Volos. Damouchari can be reached either through the village of Hania to the village of Agios Ioannis, or through the village of Tsagarada. The opening up of the rural road from Hania to Kissos, when this is completed will make the drive shorter and simpler.

Attractions

The twin canyon with the small pebbles used to be the seaport of Tsagarada. This is why the cobbled road is connected to the Square of Agia Kiriaki, which is still preserved. This natural port is connected to Old Damouchari with an old wooden bridge. The beach is cut into two by a cape that penetrates the sea and separates the Old Damouchari with small pebbles, and the New Damouchari, the only natural port at the Eastern side of Mount Pelion.



The mountain and the sea equally powerful are fighting for your choice. Which of the two are going to win you over? Follow the path and maybe at the end you will answer the question by familiarizing yourselves with the beautiful village of Tsagarada, the charming village of Damouchari, the small village of Kissos, the village of Mouresi, or the village of Agios Ioannis. All these picturesque places change in summer to an outgoing summer resort. 



From the central ring road you arrive to the village of Makrirahi, where after 2,5km, you will reach the village of Anilio, which is situated, on your left-hand side. Continuing down, the winding road goes through the village of Agios Dimitrios, near Agios Ioannis, and continuing south, you end up in Damouchari.



Further up on the hillside, located in the green, is the village of Mouresi.



Passing through sycamore, beech and chestnut trees, you feel so fascinated by the view of the sea and mountain. 



The village Kissos, on the north side, is warmly inviting you for a visit. As you can not resist, you go along the “Big Stream” of Mylopotamos, to reach the village of Tsagarada and afterwards, if you want to continue, you can go further on, until you reach the windy village of Xourichti.
