Just south of the Pelloponese mountains in southern Greece, 8km. away from the 11th century walled town and castle complex of Monemvassia, there lies a little village by the name of Old Monemvassia. By the side of the fishing dock here there are 12 houses, one church and ourselves: The Annema Hotel
Whether it's a quiet retreat, an activity packed break, or something in between that you crave, we believe that we can provide just the holiday you were looking for.
The Annema boasts 22 air-conditioned rooms, 16 of which have sea view, & 20 of which a balcony, an extremely quiet - almost serene atmosphere, startling clear & clean sea to the front, with untouched natural panoramic views and walks available to the rear.
The Annema is a brand new hotel, restaurant and bar, that features air conditioned rooms, private swimming pool and a local harbour with docking facilities. 300 metres to our right there is an excellent often deserted beach giving unrivalled swimming in both salt water, and the freshwater springs which flow into the sea, and on clear days one may dive down to explore the ancient submerged ruined town. 120 metres to the left you can find the fisherman's harbour, with ideal facilities for private yachts and motor launches.
We have 22 rooms (16 with a sea-view, and 20 with balconies) all of which feature wooden floors, and a tiled en-suite private shower/toilet. In addition we have two large balconies for entertaining guests (27m2 each) at either end of the building. All rooms feature secure (non-magnetic strip) key-card locks & metal card keys, with energy saving provisions for lights.
Our facilities have proven capable of catering for 800 people at a wedding meal, yet we are equally happy with much smaller numbers, and we can provide sleeping arrangements for 49 people - or in real terms: a whole bus! Parking provision will easily support 20-35 cars, though we have had over 120 cars without having to resort to illegal parking!

Located 300 Kma by road from Athens, the simplest method to get to us is a Flying Dolfin hydrofoil journey from Piraeus port, direct through to Monemvassia dock.
Firstly we have the local village itself, containing a dozen houses, a church, a quiet fishing harbour, and of course ourselves.
500 metres to our right, we have an ancient ruined town ( over 2000 years old), which is well worth a visit, containing miraculously-well preserved buildings, many examples of old greek mosaic, and a host of other interests.
1Km to our left lie the remains of part of the German occupation of Greece from the Second World War.
Uncountable fresh water springs flow into the bay in front of the hotel, and on a clear day swimming one can sometimes see parts of the ancient flooded town under the shallow clear sea.
Plus it must be said that we have a plethora of perfect paths for walking, exploring, bicycling, fishing and relaxing along in the area.
