Description

Located on the beach of Mykali in Samos, Zefiros Hotel features a pool, a tennis court and a Greek al fresco cafe. Rooms have a furnished balcony with side views of the Aegean Sea.

Attractions

Mykali is a beach that spreads from  Pythagorion to Alikes where Zefiros ( the God of westerly-wind in antiquity) blows.  

According to mythology the Ionians (Mikro Asia residents) gathered here annually in their holy temple, the Panionia (holly feast) took place, "in the most beautiful place" in terms of ambiance and climate, compared to all other known places. These are the words of the father of history, Herodotus. Mikali beach it is also famous from the Naval battle of 479 B.C., that signalled the end of Persian wars. This place was chosen by the ancient Greeks for its specialness.

Alikes (sallow salt lake) is the biotope of the district with visiting flamingos every spring and autumn on their way to Iraq and France. They rest and feed in this pleasant promenade, ideal for nature lovers and bird watchers.
