Samos Archaeological Museum  

It is located near the Central Park and the Town Hall, regarded as one of the most interesting provincial museums of Greece. 

Archaic Sculpture, Pottery, Bronzes, Ivory objects, Wooden items, Clay figurines, Small objects from Egypt and Persia etc..

Samos Paleontological Museum  

Another museum, but this one is especially interesting for friends of fossils. Paleontological museum in the village Mitilini, right in the middle of the island, an exhibition from bones of prehistoric animals, phinos, Mediterranean horses, hippos, horned animals and it gives attention to the natural history of the whole continent there are also Mineralogical, Geological, Botanical and Zoological departments. 

Temple of Hera  

The temple of Hera is the largest Greek temple ever built which was faithfully reconstructed by Polykrates to replace the previous model designed by the architects Rhoikos and Theodoros of Samos and destroyed by an earthquake. 

A single column of this colossal octastyle dipteral Ionic temple (enneastyle on the west side) still stands, in the northeast corner. 

Evpalineio Aqueduct  

 The Evpalineio Aqueduct is one of the most significant works carried out under Polycrates. Even today, one is filled only with admiration for the skill of the man from Megara in digging this tunnel-aqueduct. 

The task took a number of years, and the tunnel has a total length of 1,350 meters. There is a portal with an inscription at the entrance to the tunnel, through which one can see the ruins of a Byzantine church deep inside the dripping crevasse. The other opening, on the other side of Mount Kastri, is 1.70 m high. Today, it is not possible to cross the whole tunnel because a part of it has collapsed.
