The Atlantic Diving Center is situated at Grecotel on the north coast of Crete. The water quality off this coast of Crete is excellent for underwater diving. The range of underwater vision is up to 40 m. The diving depths are between 15 -30 m. The water temp. is between 19-23 degrees C. The wild and rugged landscape of Crete very often continues into the underwater landscape. Especially off the south coast you can find sheer cliffs and ravines and exciting underwater landscapes. Beside spongs, lobsters,. Crayfish, large octopuses and Cuttlefish you can also see barracudas, moon fish, moray eels and tuna fish. Pieces of AMPHORAE and sunken cities can also be expored. Underwater photographers will find plenty to test their talents.

The Atlantik team offers diving training with the PADI Standards for beginners as well as advanced training and diving excursions for experienced divers. There are no mass dives, but safe diving in small groups with individual care. The Atlantis diving center is also ideal for families with children. At the Grecotel GRECOLAND children's camp, children of all ages can be entertained while parents enjoy their holidays and dives (and why not VV)

DIVING EXCURSIONS

The transfer is by cars or Vans. Due to the local weather variations around Crete as well as the sudden changes in weather conditions (strong winds), the selection of diving sites has to be made at short notice to guarantee of diving safety. Escort persons/family members can attend the trip on request

1) NORTH COAST BALI

An ideal diving place, wind and wave protected, ideal for beginners. The max depth is 20 m. Pieces of Amphorae as well as a whole variety of underwater life can be seen by the diver. After the dive a little Tavern in the bay invites you to relax.

2) SOUTH COAST SKINARA (Day trip)

Located in the bay of Skinara are some unique, solitary rocks and on the return point participants may swim through an underwater cave Max depth up to 30m. 2 dives are possible
Grad of difficulty : EASY to MIDDLE according to prevailing south wind

3) SOUTH COAST PLAKIAS (Day trip including transfer by speedboat)

There are about 15 different diving location which can be reached within 3-15 min by speedboat. The underwater world offers with sheer cliefs and caves.
