Achladies beach, Skiathos Island |
The long sandy beach of Achladies (meaning “pear trees”in Greek), is situated some 5,5 kilometers southwestern to the town of Skiathos, in front of the homonymous, rapidly developing tourist resort which is amphitheatrically arranged around the beach. The settlement counts only a few permanent residents living on tourism. The place offers many facilities for accommodation. There are also several nice taverns and scenic ouzo bars at the sea front, where you will enjoy tasty dishes and gorgeous meals after swimming. |

The beach is very well organized, offering full facilities for swimming, sunbathing and sea sports. All these pros make it pretty popular. In case of emergence, the corresponding services of the town of Skiathos, only 5 kilometers far from the beach at the Northeast, are available for you. Access to the beach from the town of Skiathos is very easy by public buses, running regularly, by taxi and by private means (car and motorbikes). There is also a daily connection by excursion boats, departing from the town of Skiathos. |
