Agistro beach, Skiathos Island |
The lovely remote sandy beach of Angistro (meaning “hook” in Greek) is situated close enough to Elia, within a cove open to the North, at the western coast of the island. It is found some 15 kilometers western to the town of Skiathos. Accommodation facilities are available in the area of Koukounaries, some 3-4 kilometers to the South. The beach is not organized at all, but you will certainly enjoy a mild and exotic landscape and the crystal clear very clean sea. You will choose this beach only if you wish to relax and avoid the cosmopolitan crowded beaches of the rest of the island. |

In case of emergence you have to return to the town of Skiathos, 15 kilometers far away to the East. Access to the beach is easier by the excursion boats, departing daily from the town of Skiathos and sailing to the beaches of the area. The difficult way is to come by car; you will park it some 2 kilometers before arriving to the beach and continue on foot, walking in a thick wood of pines and on sandy soil. Motorbikes can drive up to the beach. |
