Kastro beach, Skiathos Island |
The secluded rocky beach of Kastro, is situated just below the marvellous medieval castle, after which it has been named (“kastro” in Greek means “castle”). It is found at a distance of some 13 kilometers northern to the town of Skiathos, at the northern coast of the island, within a small cove, open to the North. A tiny part of the beach is sandy. |

Accommodation facilities are available only in the area of the town of Skiathos, far enough from the beach. The beach is not organized at all, but it offers crystal clear very clean sea, usually wavy, and a rocky fascinating environment. |

In case of any problem you should return to the town of Skiathos, some 13 kilometers southern to the beach. Access to the beach is possible by private means (car and motorbikes) up to Kastro; from there you will continue on foot down to the beach. |
