Krifi Ammos beach, Skiathos Island |

The tiny sandy beach of Kryfi Ammos (meaning “the hidden sand” in Greek), a beach of breathtaking beauty, is situated at a distance of some 15 kilometers western to the town of Skiathos at the western end of the island, some 2 kilometers western to Koukounaries. It owes its name to the fact that is totally invisible, literally hidden behind low hills and rocks. Accommodation facilities are available only in the area of Koukounaries. |

The beach is not organized at all, but the sea is crystal clear and very clean and the environment mild, exotic and lovely. Also, since it faces the West, you will enjoy a nice sunset. In June and July there is light until late in the evening. For any problem you should address to the corresponding services of the town of Skiathos, some 15 kilometers eastern to the beach. Access to the beach is possible by the excursion boats departing daily from the town of Skiathos. You may also come by car or motorbike, via a pretty bad road which you will follow after deviating from the lagoon of Strofilia. Also, you have to leave your car a few hundred meters and continue on foot to reach the beach. |
