Mandraki beach, Skiathos Island |
The lovely sandy beach of Mandraki, also known as “the Port of Xerxes”, is situated some 14 kilometers far from the town of Skiathos, at the western coast of the island. Accommodation facilities are available close enough, in the area of Koukounaries, at a distance of 2-3 kilometers southern to the beach. No facilities at all are available at the beach. If you come here it is for the crystal clear sea and the exotic environment; the place is ideal for relaxing far from the noise of the popular crowded beaches, within a natural landscape. |

In case of emergence, the corresponding services of the town of Skiathos, 14 kilometers far away to the East, are available for you. The best way to get to the beach is by the excursion boats departing daily from the town of Skiathos. If you decide to use your car, you will leave it some 1-2 kilometers before arriving to the beach and make the rest of the way on foot, passing through a thick wood of pines and walking on sandy soil. If you decide to use a motorbike, you may continue all the way long until arriving to the beach. |
