Megali Ammos beach, Skiathos Island |

The large sandy beach of Megali Ammos (meaning ‘the large sand” in Greek) is situated at a distance of 3 kilometers southwestern to the town of Skiathos. There are many alternatives for accommodation in the area around, rapidly developing to a tourist resort. It is worth mentioning the taverns and the ouzo bars at the sea front, where you will enjoy a gorgeous meal after a nice swimming. |

The beach is very well organized and offers facilities for swimming, sunbathing and sea sports. In case of emergence, the corresponding services of the town of Skiathos, are only 3 kilometers far from the beach at the Northeast, are available for you. Access to the beach from the town of Skiathos is easy by public buses running frequently, by taxi and by rented or private car and motorbikes. Those who like walking can also get here on foot. |
