Megas Gialos beach, Skiathos Island |

The small sandy beach of Megas Gialos is situated at a distance of some 4 kilometers northeastern to the town of Skiathos, at the eastern coast of the island. It is a beach ideal for those who are tired of the crowded cosmopolitan beaches of the tourist resorts and seek a place for relaxing. No accommodation facilities or taverns and bars are available at the beach, but the town of Skiathos is pretty close and the area offers several alternatives for this kind of facilities. |

The beach is not organized at all; if you come here it is for the beautiful landscape, the relaxing atmosphere and the clean sea. In case of any problem you should address to the corresponding services of the town of Skiathos, at a distance of 4 kilometers southwestern to the beach. Access from the town of Skiathos is possible only by private means (car and motorbikes) via a good dirt road. |
