The lovely small sandy beach of Mikri Banana (the name means “small banana” in Greek) is situated at the southern part of the western coast of the island, at a distance of some 14 kilometers western to the town of Skiathos and approximately one kilometer western to Koukounaries. The beach owes its name to the fact that it is the…younger sister of Megali Banana; the two beaches are separated by a big rock. The beach is quite secluded, which makes it popular to nudists and naturists who have moved here, after the big Banana was invaded by crowds of “conventional” tourists.

Accommodation facilities are available only in the area of Koukounaries. This beach is not organized and for any facilities you have to pop up to the nearby beach of Banana. But if you choose this place you will certainly remember it for long. The sea is excellent and, if you stay late, you will have the chance to enjoy a wonderful sunset and you will feel like staying here for ever.
