Troulos beach, Skiathos Island |
The nice sandy beach of Troulos (meaning “dome” in Greek) is situated at the southern coast of the island, some 9 kilometers southwestern to the town of Skiathos and one kilometer western to Platanias, on the way from Skiathos to Koukounaries. The beach has been named after the islet across whose shape reminds the dome of a church. Several accommodation facilities are available in the area around the beach; you will also find taverns and cafés for meals and cool refreshments. |

The beach is very well organized and offers full facilities to swimmers. The combination of the lovely environment, the excellent sea and the facilities offered, have made this beach pretty popular. In fact, you will swim, sunbathe and make your favorite sea or beach sport within an environment of luxuriant green, blue sea and golden sand; an unforgettable experience. In case of emergence you have to return to the town of Skiathos, 9 kilometers far away to the Northeast. Access to the beach is easy by public buses, with frequent service, by taxi, by rented or private car and motorbikes, but also by excursion boats, departing from the port of the capital town of Skiathos. |
