The beautiful sandy beach of Vromolimnos (meaning “the dirty lake” in Greek) is situated at the southern coast of the island, well protected by the strong northern winds, at a distance of approximately 8 kilometers southwestern to the town of Skiathos and very close to the tourist resort of Kolios. The beach owes its name to the small shallow lake that used to be there in the past; today the lake is nothing more than a totally dried marsh.

A lot of accommodation facilities are available in the area of the beach as well as at the nearby tourist resort of Kolios; you will also find many taverns and cafés for full meals and cool refreshments before or after your swimming.
