Vromolimnos beach, Skiathos Island |
The beautiful sandy beach of Vromolimnos (meaning “the dirty lake” in Greek) is situated at the southern coast of the island, well protected by the strong northern winds, at a distance of approximately 8 kilometers southwestern to the town of Skiathos and very close to the tourist resort of Kolios. The beach owes its name to the small shallow lake that used to be there in the past; today the lake is nothing more than a totally dried marsh. |
