Agia Marina beach at Daskalio, Attica |
The beach of Agia Marina at Daskalio is found in front of the settlement of Daskalio, just after the homonymous small church; it is situated some 51 kilometers southeastern to the center of Athens and 10 kilometers northeastern to the town of Keratea to which the area belongs. |

Some accommodation facilities are available within the settlement and in the broader areas of Lavreotiki and Mesogeia and you will enjoy your meal and refreshments in the fish taverns of the settlement, most of them by the sea. Aghia Marina is a small beach with sand and fine pebbles, not organized and clean, but not protected from the summer northern winds (“meltemia”). As it happens with the rest of the beaches of the broader area, it receives many people during the weekends as, apart from the summer residents, many visitors who may come quickly from Athens via Attiki Odos, choose it for a quick dive or for a daily excursion. During the weekdays, people are less and the beach quieter. |

In case of any problem the pharmacies of Keratea, or the local Medical Centers of Kalyvia (some 15 kilometers southwestern to the beach) or of Markopoulo (some 22 kilometers also to the Southwest) are available for you. In Keratea you will also find a Police Station and a Traffic Police station. Access to the beach is possible by private means only (car and motorbikes). During the weekends you may have some problems of parking. To reach the beach you have to follow the road to Daskalio and turn left; you will find the beach after you have passed by the small church of Aghia Marina. |
