The beach of Halkoutsi is situated in front of the center of the summer resort of Halkoutsi, at the northeastern coast of Attica, within Euboekos bay; it is found some 52 kilometers northeastern to the center of Athens, some 5 kilometers northern to Skala Oropou. |

Accommodation facilities, food and drink and entertainment alternatives are available at Halkoutsi, but also at the nearby settlements which gradually develop to settlements of permanent residence. Thus, you will find there many stores providing the necessary goods for every day life; there is also an open cinema and a football field which is also used for other athletic activities. The beach has free access and it is not organized; the sea is good enough and the beach gets crowded, especially in July and August, when both the summer residents of the area and daily visitors come to enjoy swimming here. |

In case of emergence the local Medical Center and the pharmacy of Skala Oropou (some 5 kilometers southern to the beach) are available for you. At Skala Oropou you will also find a Port Authorities’ Station and a Police Station. Access to the beach is easy by intercity buses (KTEL), as well as by private means (car and motorbikes). For the adjacent settlements you may also use a taxi. The area is also connected by ferry-boat with Euboea, through the line Skala Oropou – Eretria. If you reach the place by boat or yacht, the marina of Halkoutsi is available for mooring and providing the necessary supplies for your vessel. |
