The small sandy beach of Kalamos is situated at the northeastern coast of Attica, at a distance of some 39 kilometers northeastern to the center of Athens.

Accommodation facilities are quite few near the beach, but the neighboring summer settlements, as Oropos, offer a pretty wide range of lodging. The small homonymous coastal settlement is nice for swimming in a wonderful calm sea, without too much people during the weekdays. On the contrary, the beach attracts big crowds during the weekends, both summer residents and people who have come here for a daily excursion, or for just a quick dive. After swimming, the visitors will have the chance to enjoy gorgeous meals in the taverns and restaurants by the sea.

In case of emergence the local Medical Center and the pharmacy of Skala Oropou (some 13 kilometers northern to the beach) are available for you. At Skala Oropou you will also find a Port Authorities’ Station and a Police Station.
