Legrena beach, Attica |
The extended beach of Legrena is situated in front of the homonymous summer settlement, at a distance of 60 kilometers southeastern to the center of Athens and some 3 kilometers western to Sounio. It is a long sandy beach found within the homonymous bay, well protected from the northern winds. In fact, the beach is divided to smaller ones, by rocks, stones and pebbles; it is not organized at all and the sea is clean enough. A few decades ago, before the area was stuffed with summer residences, the area was a place for hunting, as it received a lot of migrant birds; thus during the period that hunting was allowed it was full of hunters. |

The beach attracts many people during the weekends, when it receives both the summer residents of the area and people from Athens who come here for a daily excursion and swimming. |
