The long beach of Loumbarda, with free access, is situated within a small cove, along the coastal road leading to Sounio, at a distance of some 32 kilometers southeastern to the city center of Athens and 5 kilometers after Varkiza; in the past it was an area full of salt-pans.

The beach is not organized but it is close enough to Varkiza and Aghia Marina, for any thing you might look for.
