Nea Palatia beach (Oropos), Attica |
The beach in front of the settlement of Nea Palatia at Oropos is a medium-size beach, situated at the northeastern coast of Attica, at a distance of some 51 kilometers northeastern to the center of Athens. |

Several accommodation facilities are available near the beach, as well as in the neighboring summer settlements. Until recently, Nea Palatia was mainly a summer settlement, but in the last decade it gradually becomes a place of more or less permanent residence; as a result it attract more and more people especially during the weekends and in August. For eating, you have several taverns of various types and with various dishes, to choose from. The beach is sufficiently organized; the sea in nice but it deepens very soon. |

In case of emergence you may address to the local Medical Center and the pharmacy of Skala Oropou (some 1 kilometer northern to the beach. At Skala Oropou you will also find a Port Authorities’ Station and a Police Station. Access to the beach is easy by intercity buses (KTEL), as well as by private means (car and motorbikes). Parking close to the beach is rather difficult during the weekends, especially in August. |
