The pretty small sandy beach of Tsonima, found within a small cove, southern to Vromopoussi, is a beach rather protected from the northern winds; the beach is situated some 19 kilometers southeastern to the town of Keratea, to which it belongs, and some 60 kilometers southeastern to the center of Athens.

No accommodation facilities are available at the beach, but in the broader area of Lavreotiki, in Anavyssos and Sounio you will find several alternatives for lodging. The coastal settlement of Tsonima, however, is a good choice for swimming, especially during the weekdays; during the weekends it gets pretty crowded, as it receives a lot of people, both the summer residents of the settlements and visitors from Athens and the neighboring towns and villages.

In case of health problems the pharmacies of Keratea (some 19 kilometers far away to the Northwest), or the local Medical Center of Lavrio (less than 4 - 5 kilometers southern to the beach) are available for you. In Keratea you will also find a Police Station and a Traffic Police station, and at Lavrio there is also a Port Authorities’ Station.
