The long sandy and pretty popular beach of “B’ Alipedo Voulas” (“the second beach of Voula”) is situated a few meters off the coastal Poseidonos Avenue, some 500 meters after the tramway station, at a distance less than 18 kilometers southeastern to the center of Athens; it is one of the beaches closer to Athens. The area around the beach is modern and cosmopolitan enough, with modern buildings and department stores; however, the place still retains something of the country atmosphere it used to have in the past, thanks to the trees and the nice sand.
Accommodation facilities, food and drink, entertainment and amusement, shopping and various every day provisions are fully available, as the beach is found within the urban tissue of the broader area of the capital city, part of which is also Voula. Thus, you have plenty of choices for any activity, any taste and any budget. You will also find many alternatives for parking of your vehicle, as well as night life, coffee bars and stores in close distance from the beach.
The beach is fully organized with facilities for swimming, sunbathing (umbrellas, sun beds, showers), as well as for sea sports and other athletic games.
For any problem, the appropriate services of the area around are available for you. In close distance you will find a Police and a Traffic Police station, as well as several services of the public or private sector.
Access to the beach is easy by public buses, running frequently, by taxi and by private means (car or motorbikes). The best way to reach the beach is the tramway; it is easy, comfortable and above all environment friendly. If you come by car, you will not have problems, unless on weekends. As the place is pretty flat, it is suitable for walking and cycling. Finally, if you reach the beach by boat or yacht, you may berth at the neighboring marinas, where you may also get all supplies necessary for your vessel.
